Out come the tonsils!

This past Friday Conner had to have his tonsils out. He was pretty apprehensive about it but didn't let us know about it too much. We went to the new Riverton hospital for the procedure and it was nice not to have to drive downtown to Primary's.

Before Conner and I got to play some Madden on the XBox before they took him back for anesthesia. This was nice for both he and I. As you can tell from the before picture, things were rosy.

Before

After

After the surgery the poor guy was in lots of pain and his throat was swollen and super sore. They had him stay there for a little while and then sent him home with some antibiotics and a giant bottle of Lortab. It's like they wanted him to form an addiction, but in their wisdom, it's kept him out of pain and in a better mood.

We're glad everything went well and he's really feeling a lot better a few days later.

No more strep throat, yay!!!

Easter and the New Nephew

Easter came and went, but it included fun-filled activities with all the kids and a new addition to the family.

First was the dying of the eggs.

Then it was searching for the eggs on Easter morning.

Then more searching with the cousins.

And still some more searching...

And then displaying the results of the searching. All smiles.

Also on Easter our little nephew, Owen Eric King, was born. And here's his big cousin playing mommy holding him while they came over for dinner last night.

She's getting good at it. And he's out for the count.

And earlier in the day Ella got a nice goose-egg shiner at a birthday party.

All in all it was a good week. I spent this one in the yard cleaning stuff up and getting some early veggies planted. Good times...

Some recent activity for us

We've been busy lately with school, work, and trying to get things organized around the house. We're finishing our basement in anticipation of the new arrival and the boys are going move to the basement.

We just went as a family to Cancun and then Michelle and I went to Austin, TX. Good times.

Here's some pics from sunny Mexico... adios.

I am slacking... and guess what?

WE'RE PREGNANT!!!

Well, Michelle is, but I did a lot of pre-planning work and pep talks to get us here.

Ok, that is a far stretch too. I didn't do that much. Michelle is 15 weeks along and pretty soon we'll find out if it's a boy or girl. Oh the wait...

Catching up on the Holidays - Easton's Program

Easton's Christmas program was fun this year. He was cute, and there was a little girl in his class that kept talking to him and hanging on him. He was very cavalier about it. Posted is the grand finale of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". It's very entertaining.

Good times, good times.

Catching up on the Holidays - Ella's Dance Recital

Ella's dance recital was the week before Christmas and she did A LOT better this time than last. She actually danced and moved around. :)

Afterward she hammed it up with her friend and the family.

This last one is my favorite - the two hooligans at work again.

Catching up on the Holidays - Getting our Tree

The day after Thanksgiving we went up to the east fork of the Bear River to get our Christmas tree with our friends, the Tuellers. It was a fun time and we ended up getting a great looking tree. The kids had fun playing with their friends too.

I think next year we'll do the same thing because it was so much fun and the permit only cost $12. Once we got home with it, it looked a lot bigger inside than it did here. Oh well, as they say, "bigger is better..."
