AAARRGGGHHH

My knee has finally made me bow down. I scheduled a dr. appt. for 4/1 to go and see what's really going on with it. I'm 90% confident that I have IT band syndrome. And, I'm pretty sure it's because of running on crowned roads and ramping up my mileage too quickly. Up until now I've been able to ice it, stretch it, and rest it to get through the long runs on the weekend. But, after this last weekend it's not working anymore. So, in the meantime I'm going to baby it and see when it will get better.

Michelle's probably sick of my talking about it by now and thinks I'm a weenie I bet. Oh well, I'll go suck my thumb somewhere in a corner.

Yours truly,
Mr. Whiner
aka, Mr. Picky Diet
aka, Eric

Oh Eric I am so sorry. Take care of yourself. That is really frustrating. I hope you will be ok for Wasatch Back and all of your races you have planned.

There is NOTHING worse than wanting to run, feeling like running, and having it hurt to run! I'll hope for good news on the 1st!

IT Bands freaking hurt! Nothing sucks more than training hard, and then not getting to run. I know some super sweet stretches for that... and get to know your foam roller. It is your best friend/ worst enemy.

And when you do run again... you have to take it slow... 10% rule... and stretch for 20 minutes after each run. It's a lifestyle change. Just prepare yourself.

Call if you need support. Sorry E!
